Introduction of Organisation
Saraswati Education Charitable Trust is working for Education, Rehabilitation and Welfare of Deaf & Dumb children in Gandhinagar since last 37 years. For that it runs residential school for Deaf & Dumb children named “Samarpan Mook Badhir Shishu Vidyamandir “. Total 75 Deaf & Dumb children are studying in 1st to 10th standard of this school. Here specially trained and experienced teachers are teaching to these children. We also have sound proof Room where we are doing Audiometry of hearing impaired children. We also give Speech & Language Therapy to these children by qualified and experience Audiologist & Speech Therapist. We also provide Lodging and boarding facilities to these children. It should be noted that all these services are provided free of coast without charging any fees. All the children are treated equally without any prejudice of religion, cast or region.
We are also running “Samarpan Training cum Rehabilitation Centre” recognised by Gujarat Council of Vocational Training(GCVT) , where we provide free vocational training. Here we have two trade namely Tailoring & Cutting and Offset printing & Binding. This training makes these children self sufficient and also helps in providing employment.
The Saraswati Education Charitable Trust also engaged in arranging “Group Marriages” of Deaf & Dumb students. It also runs marriage bureau for these children. The trust is also engaged arranging camps in co operation Social Justice & Empowerment Dept. of Govt. of Gujarat, where all government benefits become easily accessible to deaf & dumb children.
The Saraswati Education Charitable Trust also runs Child Care Centre at Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad where working women place their pre school children in working hours. Here also no fees is charged for this service.
